London HOLIDAY LETS in CENTRAL NEIGHBOURHOODS

London is a pretty big place and one of the largest capital cities in the world. We know that you want to choose from holiday lets that are as comfortably close to all the culture, sights and attractions as possible.  Some people like to be smack in the middle of things and others prefer a quieter location a little removed from the action. Whatever your preference, our short term lets are in good, convenient locations and you will be close to shops, restaurants and local amenities whichever neighbourhood you end up in.  You will always be a pleasant walk, bus ride or underground journey away from London’s heart when you stay with us.  Here at the London Agent we like to tell you about your neighbourhood and it’s surroundings. You’re on holiday after all! We want to keep you informed and hopefully point out some things you didn’t know before, even if you visit London frequently.

HAPPENING HOXTON OR FABULOUS FITZROVIA?

Visitors and tourists may be most familiar with such central neighbourhoods as Hyde Park, Bayswater, Kensington, Chelsea or Bloomsbury and no wonder. These fabulous parts of town so close to parks and museums have as much to offer as ever and they remain popular and sought after. But take a look at our Neighbourhoods section and the area guides that accompany each of our holiday lets to learn about some exciting and interesting parts of London that you may not be so familiar with.  Hoxton is where the City meets the East End and this vibrant area has many popular markets to visit and some wonderful restaurants. Fitzrovia is part of London’s West End and is close to Marylebone and Bloomsbury.  This fascinating little urban haven is tucked nicely away from the hubbub and has character and charm all of it’s own.

HOLIDAY LETS IN THE CITY.

Are you familiar with The City?  Not the city of London as a whole, but The Square Mile? Click on the link to educate yourself about this most historical and ancient city in the middle of London Town and why you should count yourselves lucky to have chosen one of our holiday lets there. The Tower of London, Tower Bridge and Traitors Gate, The Monument (built to commemorate the Great Fire of London in 1666), and London’s Roman Wall all lie inside it’s walls. The wealth of historical and cultural sights and places of interest here or nearby are staggering. Not to mention it being the financial centre of London, of course. Corporate travellers and those who love the idea of living somewhere really special and unique, will find plenty of holiday lets to choose from here.

CLOSE TO THE RIVER THAMES.

Hammersmith has the famous River Cafe which continues to serve some of the most fresh and innovative seasonal food in London. Chelsea embankment is delightful to stroll by at night with the bridges lit up and houseboats on the river. The Southbank is perhaps the most magical and historic place of all to be riverside. Enjoy the many delights of Borough, Tower Bridge and London Bridge and take in the majestic sight of The Globe Theatre which lies a stone’s throw from the Thames, in almost exactly the same spot as it stood in Shakespeare’s day.

THE EAST END: ANCIENT HISTORY AND MODERN TRENDS

The East End is a treasure trove of contrasts – the old and the new get together here to fascinate and entertain in equal measure.find everything you need in the way of famous markets, shops, olde English pubs and a pulsating nightlife with some pretty hip bars and restaurants.  Visit The Geffrye Museum or The White Cube Gallery.  Join one of the most intriguing walking tours in town and learn more about Jack the Ripper’s reign of terror in 1888 or find out why everyone is talking about the street art of East London.  Choose one of our holiday lets in the East End and you will soon discover the many charms of Hoxton, Spitalfields, Shoreditch or Clerkenwell.  Your close proximity to the City and the Southbank here makes it even more interesting.
