Beautiful Battersea Park, with it’s ancient trees and undulating green spaces perfect for dog walking, running, or simply wandering happily along in all seasons and all weathers, enjoying nature and the sound of people having fun!
This park is considered by many Londoners to be the most interesting of all for the sheer variety of attractions and facilities available to everyone who visits here. The open spaces of the park are ideal for children (or anyone else for that matter!) to kick a ball or run around in. Feed the ducks on the lake, admire the wildlife and birds that congregate here, try to find some of the ancient and mysterious trees that hold records… There are countless gardens to explore, wonderful sporting facilities for those interested in keeping fit, both for the serious minded and those just out to have a little fun, and the wonderful and very popular children’s play-park that suits all ages, (miniature zoo included.) Walk from here down to the River Thames, which takes you past the famous pergola and the fountains. Once you all have thoroughly exhausted yourselves with all this wonder and activity, find a spot to have some lunch, or re-fuel at one of the ice-cream stands or cafe’s that serve cold refreshments in the summer and hot chocolate in the winter! The other winter attraction that is worth mentioning is the fantastic fireworks display that you can enjoy in the park for Guy Fawkes Night, in early November.
We have a few fabulous short let holiday homes available in friendly Battersea, and quite a few more in neighboring Chelsea or Fulham, just across the river. All of them in good, centrally convenient locations, complete with property, transport and area information. We wish you many sunny summer days in this, or any of our free London parks. What a delightful thing it is that our amazing capital city offers so many parks and green spaces to enjoy in the summertime…
