Anyone who has stayed in our apartments in London before will know that just moving around and sightseeing in this big old capital city can feel like a bit of a work out.  Here are some fun and free ways to get some real exercise during your stay.  Summer’s here at last, it’s the perfect time to join a yoga class in a park close to our London apartment rentals and re-energise yourself, ready for another round of museum hopping.

London City Runners is one of the biggest running clubs in town.  Join this friendly group for a invigorating run past many of The City’s famous and glorious landmarks.  Runners of all levels are welcome, from beginners to show-offs – the aim is to enjoy yourself at your own pace. For those that have time to socialise, drinks and a chat sometimes take place after the run.

Our Parks is a popular scheme that urges you to “turn up and tone up!”  There is an impressive selection of exercise classes on offer in the great outdoors  including yoga, pilates, boot camp, tai chi and dancing.  The average class lasts an hour with various levels on offer, all of them run by qualified instructors and registered coaches.

The wonderful Strawberry Tours give you the option to pay a little something at the end of your walking tour, whatever you feel you want to contribute.  10% of their earnings are given to local charities.  What a great idea and what an opportunity to walk around and learn fascinating things about London from an expert guide, whilst contributing to a good cause.

NRC (Nike Running Club) claim that “we are all meant to be runners.”  If you want to learn to run like an expert and breeze effortlessly through the streets of London, this is the one for you. Nike’s very own team of coaches are on hand offering encouragement and expertise.  Choose the distance that suits you best – anything from a short, sharp run over a bridge and back to mini marathons across town!

Our apartments in London tenants will have seen the red Santander bikes parked all over town.  You hop on and park at a docking station when you’re done. The first half hour is free, after that you pay £2 for 24 hrs -another great deal!  We strongly urge visitors to use these bikes for a fun, easy-going ride around one of the parks, London’s roads are busy and dangerous for cyclists, especially those from out of town.
